Equatorial Guinea
Equatorial Guinea, located in Western Africa, is also known as the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and located just north of the equator. In terms of population, it is the 2nd smallest nation in continental Africa. It also stands as the smallest UN member from continental Africa. Equatorial Guinea's economic structure is being altered due to the discovery of substantial deposits of petroleum. Agricultural products of the country are cassava, rice, yams, bananas and palm oil. Chief exports include petroleum, methanol, timber and cocoa. The largest trading partner of Equatorial Guinea is the US, followed by China, Spain, Italy and France. |
